Coconut and Banana Smoothierecipe

Ingredients
    150ml canned coconut milk
    150g Greek-style natural yogurt
    1 tbsp desiccated coconut
    1 tbsp porridge oats
    1 banana, peeled and chopped
    1 tbsp clear honey
    1 tbsp fresh lime juice
    12 ice cubes
    grated lime zest (optional)

Method
Place all the ingredients except the lime zest in a liquidiser and blend until smooth.
   
Pour into a tall glass and top with a little grated lime zest, if using.

Smoothies made with fresh banana don’t keep too well as they discolour, so it’s better to make just the quantity you need. Try using 100g strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, mangoes or nectarines, or a combination of these, instead of the banana. If you have a dairy allergy, use soya-based products.
